About six months ago, we got frustrated. We decided that we weren’t satisfied with how the games journalism establishment worked. We didn’t like misleading reviews. We didn’t like how we were told what to think, instead of being allowed to think for ourselves. We didn’t like that we were discouraged to approach games critically or to take games seriously. Instead of just accepting this, we decided to do something about it. But what could we do?
Pixel Fist is our answer. We wanted a site with new, updated technology. We wanted articles with a fresh perspective. We wanted a community of intelligent, mature, and skeptical gamers. We wanted to improve the industry by improving and empowering the players. We wanted a site that put gamers first. So we built it, and now here we are ready to go, with our fists held high!
We aren’t game developers. We aren’t “experts,” advertisers, or salesmen. We aren’t “just another game news blog.” Pixel Fist is for us, and for you: real gamers. We review games based on the consumer experience, not the hype. We write about what’s on our minds, and we want to know what’s on your mind too. Whether you’re a serious gamer, just playing for fun, or even if you’re somewhere in between, we’re here to celebrate and explore the games we all play.
Sound good so far? Stick around. Leave some comments. Join the community. Take off those kiddie gloves and be a part of something bigger, better, and more mature. Raise your Pixel Fist with us. We’re games journalism with a mighty right hook, and we’re just getting started.
